FAQs
About CostPill
What is CostPill?
CostPill is a service offered by TIB Pharmacy Inc in Newark California. CostPill is dedicated to providing affordable medications. We prioritize transparency, ensuring patients pay a fair cost for their medications. Our mission revolves around enhancing public health. Learn more about our mission at costpill.com/our-mission
How does CostPill work?
Find your medications by scrolling through a health condition or by using the search bar under Medications to see if it is available. Then, request your doctor to send a prescription to CostPill. Ensure that your doctor has the necessary information listed on the Contact Doctor page. Once your prescription is received and verified, you will be sent a link to make a payment. Finally, you will be notified when your prescription is mailed.
How are your prices so competitive?
Generic medications constitute a bulk of prescriptions filled anywhere in the U.S. We have opted for a business model that is based on “dispensing fee-only” for generic medications. For brand and over-the-counter medications, we have streamlined our supply chain and profit margins such that we are able to offer highly competitive prices.
How do you price brand medications?
Simple. We find the best wholesaler source and add only 7% markup to the purchase price.
Can I use my insurance?
At this time, we only accept California Medicaid (known as Medi-Cal), however, other insurances may be added in the future. TIB Pharmacy is contracted with Medi-Cal. If you do not have Medi-Cal, you will have to pay out of pocket.
Who fills my prescription?
Your prescriptions will be filled and shipped by TIB Pharmacy Inc. in Newark California.
Can I get all my medications here?
We currently offer a wide range of medications. View our complete list of medications at costpill.com/medications. Our inventory will continue to expand.
Why does your company charge a credit card processing fee?
We pride ourselves on offering extremely low prices and full transparency in our pricing. To maintain these low prices, we pass the credit card processing fee directly to our customers. This fee is charged by the credit card companies for processing payments, and rather than raising our prices to absorb this cost, we choose to keep our prices as low as possible and only charge what is necessary to cover these external fees. This way, you get the best value, and our pricing remains straightforward and honest.

What is refrigerated or insulated shipping?
Refrigerated or insulated shipping refers to the transportation of temperature-sensitive medications that must be maintained at a specific temperature range to preserve the medications efficacy.
Why are shipping costs higher for refrigerated or insulated shipping?
Temperature sensitive medications require special packaging and handling to maintain a consistent and controlled temperature range. This includes the use of temperature-controlled packaging materials, such as insulated containers and gel packs, and the need for expedited shipping methods to minimize exposure to temperature fluctuations.
What kind of medications require refrigerated or insulated shipping?
Medications that require temperature-controlled shipping are those that are sensitive to heat or cold and can be affected by changes in temperature. This includes certain antibiotics, biologic products, insulin, and other hormone-based medications.
Can I choose a cheaper shipping method for my temperature-sensitive medication?
We have already negotiated the best price with our carrier to deliver medications to you and we are constantly working on new ways to lower the delivery cost even further.
